Key Things You’ll Want to Know
These quick insights will help you understand how our firewood is prepared, delivered, and stored. We’ve answered the most important questions so you can order with confidence.
Firewood Products & Quality
What type of firewood do you sell?
We offer high-quality Northwest firewood, primarily a mix of hardwood and softwood species selected for clean, efficient burning. Our most common woods are maple, alder, fir, and other locally sourced varieties.
Is your firewood fully seasoned and ready to burn?
Yes—our firewood is fully seasoned, split, and ready to burn upon delivery. We ensure moisture levels are appropriate for clean, hot, and efficient fires.
What length do you cut the wood to?
Our firewood is cut to a standard 16-inch length, which fits most fireplaces, inserts, and stoves. If you need custom lengths, please let us know and we will try to accommodate.
How clean is the wood—will there be bark, debris, or bugs?
Our firewood is split and stored off the ground for cleanliness, but natural bark and very small debris are normal. Since it’s an outdoor natural product, occasional insects may be present.
Is your firewood safe for indoor fireplaces and wood stoves?
Absolutely. Our seasoned firewood is safe for indoor and outdoor use, producing cleaner burns with less creosote buildup than green or unseasoned wood.

How to Store and Burn Your Firewood the Right Way
Firewood performs best when kept dry, elevated, and properly ventilated. Here’s what you need to know to make every burn clean and efficient.
Preparation, Storage & Burning
How should I store my firewood once it's delivered?
Store firewood in a dry, well-ventilated area off the ground, ideally covered on top but open on the sides. This prevents moisture buildup and keeps the wood burning properly.
How long will seasoned firewood stay usable if stored properly?
When stored correctly, seasoned firewood can last 2–4 years without losing quality. Many people rotate their stock yearly to keep it fresh.
How much firewood do I need for winter home heating?
A typical household using wood as a supplemental heat source may burn 2–4 cords per winter. Full-time heating often requires 4–6 cords, depending on stove efficiency and home size.
What’s the difference between green and seasoned firewood?
Green firewood still contains high moisture and burns poorly with excess smoke and creosote. Seasoned firewood has been dried naturally, burns hotter, and is much more efficient and cleaner.
What moisture level should good firewood have?
Quality seasoned firewood should be 20% moisture or lower. This ensures clean burning, efficient heat, and minimal creosote buildup in chimneys.
